The BorPres project partners are delighted to announce the upcoming Stakeholder Consultation Workshop, focused on exploring the development perspectives for tourism following the opening of the new border crossing point at Prespa.
The workshop will take place on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 10:30 am, at the “Lazaros Nalpantidis” Multi-Purpose Hall in Prespa Town Hall, Lemos.
The purpose of this workshop is to gather the Greek regional and local stakeholders and provide them with an opportunity to contribute their insights and actively participate in shaping the action plan for enhancing and managing tourist flows after the opening of the border crossing point at Prespa.
This initiative is part of the BorPres project | Prespa Border Station: Preparatory actions for the installation of the Border Crossing Point between Greece and the Republic of North Macedonia in the area of Lake Prespa and is coordinated by the Ministry of the Interior (Sector Macedonia and Thrace).
The Stakeholder Consultation Workshop at Lemos is the first of two workshops planned in the cross-border region of Greece and the Republic of North Macedonia, aiming to foster collaboration and gather valuable insights from local and regional organisations and institutions. By bringing together various stakeholders, including government officials, representatives from the tourism industry, and local organizations, the workshop aims to facilitate dialogue and foster cooperation towards sustainable tourism development.
The project partnership for BorPres includes the Region of Western Macedonia and the Ministry of the Interior (Sector Macedonia and Thrace) from Greece, ANKO Western Macedonia S.A. / Organization for Local Development from Greece, and the Ministry of Interior from the Republic of North Macedonia.
