Project Scope

Project Objectives

The overall objective of the project is to strengthen and improve communication in the borders at the Prespa Lake area and to create a common transnational development area. This will be achieved through the construction of a new border crossing point, resulting in reduced travel time and enhanced cross-border cooperation.

Expected Outputs

The project outputs focus on enhancing cross-border connectivity and sustainable tourism in the Prespa region. The project will supply necessary equipment and organize meetings and events to foster cooperation.

Expected Results  

The expected results of the project align with the Programme's result indicators, particularly focusing on reducing travel time and enhancing cross-border cooperation. The maturation and implementation of the border crossing point works will address a longstanding issue of travel and communication between Greece and the Republic of North Macedonia in the Prespa area.
